Wet Hairy Women creates and produces artistic programs centered around women-aligning experiences and relationships to womanhood. We recognize that the word “women” has been/is used as a barrier to exclude. We are defiantly committed to a spacious and inclusive definition.

You do not have to identify as a woman to get involved. One of our goals is to heal and celebrate relationships to womanhood. We believe our work opens avenues for people to push the boundaries of the gender binary, expanding and dismantling expectations surrounding gender through art.

We welcome our trans and non-binary community and look foRward to future collaborations centering gender non-conforming artists. 

​

All gender identities and pronouns will be respected, affirmed, and celebrated within Wet Hairy Women. Not all women have the same biochemical or physical makeup. 

The community of Wet Hairy Women is open to anyone, regardless of gender, sex, ethnicity, age, religion, race, ability, economic status, or sexual orientation.

We take a day-in-and-day-out approach that considers every action and decision made, to increase diversity, equity & inclusion within all of our processes and products. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core to what we build, who we work with, and why and how we do what we do. To us, it’s all connected.

We take an intersectional approach that recognizes the multitude of ways age, sex, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, ability, sexual orientation, and economic status impact us. While today, Wet Hairy Women is led by two women-identifying people, we are open to all and celebrate the complexities of identity as a central tenet. Through accountability, collaboration, and innovation we seek to scale with diversity, equity & inclusion at the core.
